Honor India launched its new mid-range smartphone Honor 8X in India today. The successor to Honor 7X was already available in China. The key features of the new Honor 8X include a 6.5-inch FHD+ notch display, Kirin 710 chipset with up to 6GB RAM, dual AI cameras at the back and 3750mAh battery.
Honor 8X Price in India and availability
The Honor 8X price in India starts at Rs. 14,999 for the 4GB+64GB variant. While there is a 6GB+64GB mode too which costs Rs. 16,999. Lastly, the top 6GB+128GB Honor 8X model is priced at Rs. 18,999 in India. The smartphone will go on sale starting October 14 exclusively via Amazon India.
Honor 8X Specifications
The Honor 8X sports a 6.5-inch full-HD+ (1080×2340 pixels) IPS LCD display panel with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The display of Honor 8X is the first TUV Rheinland certified for eye protection. The smartphone runs EMUI 8.2.0 on top of Android Oreo.
Under the hood, the Honor 8X is powered by a new HiSilicon Kirin 710 SoC paired with a Mali G51 GPU and GPU Turbo technology. It comes in 4GB/6GB RAM options and 64GB/ 128GB internal storage options. The storage is expandable up to 400GB via dedicated card slot.
In the optics department, it sports dual rear camera setup with a 20MP primary camera with f/1.8 aperture and a 2MP secondary sensor. The rear camera supports AI features like 22 scene recognition, AIS Night Shooting mode, and AI sports shot. It also supports AI Super Slo-Mo recording at 120fps/480fps. There is a 16MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture. The front camera also has a night mode for low light selfies.
Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth v4.2 LE with aptX, GPS/ A-GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, micro-USB port, and 3.5mm headphone jack. The device packs a non-removable 3,750mAh battery.
