Nubia to launch world’s first wearable phone at MWC 2019

Chinese smartphone maker Nubia has announced the launch of its latest handset at the MWC 2019. This phone could be a flexible device as the launch invite says ‘Flex Your Life’. The reports suggest that this could be the nubia α which is a wearable device.

The Nubia-α (Alpha) was first introduced at IFA 2018 event in Berlin. However, the company showcased only the prototype of the device. Now, it seems that the company is ready to launch this phone globally at MWC 2019. Apart from Nubia, Samsung and Huawei are also preparing for launching their own flexible phones at the event.

Nubia Alpha Features

The main highlight of the nubia-α (Alpha) is that one could wear it in the wrist just like a watch. It will sport an OLED touch screen display. The company has used it’s Flexible Display Technology.

This device will also feature a front camera, microphone, power, and other buttons. There are charging pins and a heart rate sensor on its back panel. The device could come in black and golden color variants with metal straps as seen in the prototypes.

As of now, the company has not shared any details about this flexible and wearable device. Last year, ZTE had launched its dual-screen phone ZTE Axon M at the MWC. So, this year, it is again expected to launch this new wearable device.
