Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 launched in India starting at Rs. 9,999

Xiaomi finally launched the Redmi Note 7 in India today, as it had promised. The smartphone was launched in China last month. But it comes to India with a different camera set up. Instead of the 48MP camera in the original Redmi Note 7, it comes here with a 12MP+2MP dual camera setup. The other features of the smartphone are the same such as FHD+ waterdrop notch display, Snapdragon 660 and 4000mAh battery.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 price in India starts at Rs. 9,999 for the 3GB/32GB model. While the 4GB/64GB model of the smartphone costs Rs. 11,999. It will go on sale via Flipkart, Mi.com, and Mi Home stores starting from March 6. The company also offers Airtel subscribers 1120GB additional 4G data.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Specifications

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 sports a 6.3-inch Full HD+ (2340 ×1080 pixels) 19:5:9 aspect ratio display with Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Under the hood, it is powered by Snapdragon 660 processor with up to 4GB RAM. It packs up to 64GB storage that is expandable up to 256GB with microSD.

In terms of camera, it comes with a new 12MP primary rear camera with Sony IMX486 sensor, 1.25um pixel size, f/2.2 aperture, and a secondary 2MP camera. It sports a 13MP front-facing camera.


It sports a back-mounted fingerprint sensor and features a splash proof body with P2inano-coating. Dimensions of the phone are 159.21 x 75.21 x 8.1mm and its weight is 186g.

The smartphone runs on Android 9.0 Pie with MIUI 10 on top. Connectivity options include Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4 /5GHz) Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS, USB Type-C, and 3.5mm audio jack. It packs a 4000mAh battery with Quick Charge 4 support. The Redmi Note 7 will come in Onyx Black, Ruby Red, and Sapphire Blue colors.
