Vivo announced a new smartphone Vivo Z5x in China yesterday. The company’s latest mid-range phone in the Z series comes with a punch-hole display for the first time. It has a 6.53-inch FHD+ LCD screen, is powered by Snapdragon 710 with up to 8GB RAM, runs Android Pie with Funtouch OS, and sports a triple camera set up at the back.

Design & Display
The new Vivo Z5x comes with a polycarbonate body with gradient design back. The device sports a 6.53-inch FHD+ (2340 × 1080 pixels) 19.5:9 aspect ratio LCD screen with a hole on the top corner for the front camera.
Performance
It is powered by Snapdragon 710 10nm processor with Adreno 616 GPU and up to 8GB RAM. It comes with up to 128GB storage that is expandable up to 256GB. The smartphone runs on Funtouch OS 9 that is based on Android 9 Pie.
Cameras
In the camera department, it has triple cameras at the back with a 16MP primary f/1.78 aperture lens, an 8MP 120° wide-angle camera with f/2.2 aperture, and a 2MP camera with f/2.4 aperture. It has a 16MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture.
Battery and Connectivity
Connectivity options include Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS, 3.5mm audio jack, and Micro USB. It packs a 5000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. It comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.
Vivo Z5x India Price, Availability
The Vivo Z5x price starts at 1398 yuan (Rs. 14,075 approx.) for the 4GB/64GB version. It is priced at 1498 yuan (Rs. 15,080 approx.) for the 6GB/64GB version and 1698 yuan (Rs. 17,100 approx.) for the 6GB/128GB version. The top-end 8GB/128GB version costs 1998 yuan (Rs. 20,120 approx.). It will go on sale in China next week.
The Vivo Z5x might also launch in India soon with a different name. The Vivo Z5x price in India could start at Rs. 14,990 when it launches here in the coming weeks.
