Asus Zenfone 6-India-launch

After the recent trademark related issue, we have been thinking about will happen to ASUS Zenfone 6 launch in India. Now, Flipkart has confirmed that the phone will be launched in India on June 19. However, it will be launched as ASUS 6Z in India.

Earlier this week a Delhi High Court order restrained ASUS from using ‘Zen’ or ‘ZenFone’ branding due to a trademark issue. Which is why ASUS will launch its Zenfone 6 flagship as ASUS 6Z in India. It will be launched on June 19th as Flipkart exclusive.

To remind you of the highlights of the upcoming ASUS phone, it has a unique flip camera design, Snapdragon 855 processor under the hood, a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor and 5,000mAh battery. Let’s check out full specs of the new 6Z.

ASUS 6Z Specifications

The ASUS 6Z sports a 6.46-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD screen that the company calls NanoEdge display. It has HDR10 support and it is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 6.

Under the hood, there is a Snapdragon 855 7nm processor with Adreno 640 GPU. It packs up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB UFS 2.1 storage. The storage is expandable up to 1TB with microSD.

The smartphone runs on Android 9 Pie with ZenUI 6 on top. For connectivity, it has triple slots, 3.5mm audio jack, Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS, and USB Type-C port.

Asus to launch Zenfone 6 in India

In terms of camera, its dual camera set up works as both front and rear camera. It has a 48MP primary camera with f/1.79 aperture, Sony IMX586 sensor, 0.8μm pixel size and a 13MP secondary camera with 125-degree ultra-wide lens and f/2.4 aperture.

It sports a back-mounted fingerprint sensor. For audio, it has a 5-magnet stereo speaker and Dual NXP TFA9874 smart amp support. The device is powered by a 5000mAh battery with QuickCharge 4.0 fast charging.

We will know the ASUS 6Z price in India when it launches later this month.
