HUAWEI Nova 5, Nova 5 Pro Launched with Quad Cameras: Price, Specifications

HUAWEI Nova 5 and Nova 5 Pro smartphones were launched in China today. The highlights of these phones are OLED curved glass dewdrop notch display and Leica quad-lens cameras with a 48MP sensor. The phones also have a 32MP front camera. The Nova 5 is powered by a new Kirin 810 processor and the Nova 5 Pro is powered by the flagship Kirin 980.

HUAWEI Nova 5 and Nova 5 Pro Specifications

The Nova 5 and Nova 5 Pro sport a 6.39-inch FHD+(2340 x 1080 pixels) OLED HDR display. They run on Android 9 Pie with EMUI 9.1 and may also get the next OS update as well.

The Nova 5 is powered by HUAWEI’s new Kirin 810 processor with Mali-G52MP6 GPU. The Nova 5 Pro is powered by Kirin 980 processor with Mali-G76MP10 GPU. The smartphones pack 8GB LPDDR4x RAM with 128GB storage. (256GB in Nova 5 Pro only).

The smartphones pack 3500mAh battery with HUAWEI’s 40W SuperCharge fast charging tech that promises up to 50% charger in 15 minutes and 85% in 30 minutes.

In terms of camera, there is a 48MP primary camera with f/1.8 aperture, a 16MP Ultra Wide Angle lens with f/2.2 aperture, a 2MP 4cm macro lens and a 2MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. The smartphones have a 32MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture.

Connectivity options are Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5 LE, GPS, and NFC (in Nova 5 Pro). They don’t have a 3.5mm jack and rely on USB Type-C audio.

Price, Availability

The HUAWEI Nova 5 is priced at 2799 yuan (Rs. 28,335 approx.) for the only 8GB/128GB version. It comes in Black, Purple and Green colors and will go on sale from July 20 in China.

The HUAWEI Nova 5 Pro price starts at 2999 yuan (Rs. 30,360 approx.) for the 8GB/128GB version and goes up to 3399 yuan (Rs. 34,410 approx.) for the 8GB/256GB version. It comes in Black, Purple, Green, and Orange colors and will go on sale in China from June 28.
