Xiaomi’s gaming phone brand Black Shark just launched the Black Shark 2 Pro smartphone in China. The latest phone is an upgraded version of the Black Shark 2 that was launched earlier this year. The key improvements in the phone are the latest Snapdragon 855 Plus processor and up to 256GB UFS3.0 storage.
The new Black Shark phone also has a new design language on the back with a new lighting effect and it is inspired by the F1 car. Other features are same as Black Shark 2, including AMOLED display with HDR, in-display fingerprint sensor, liquid cooling 3.0, 48MP Sony IMX 586 sensor, and 4000mAh battery with 27W fast charging support.
Black Shark 2 Pro Specifications
The Black Shark 2 Pro sports a 6.39-inch Full HD+(2340×1080 pixels) 19.5:9 display with HDR support. It comes with the touch response speed of 34.7ms with touch algorithm optimization especially for gaming and also includes a dedicated DC dimming 2.0 feature.
The device is powered by the overclocked Snapdragon 855 Plus (1 x Kryo 485 at 2.96GHz) processor with Adreno 640 GPU. It also comes with liquid cooling that promises a liquid-cooled plate and liquid-cooled tube to reduce the CPU core temperature.
The latest gaming phone is packed with up to 12GB LPDDR4x RAM and with up to 256GB faster UFS 3.0 internal storage. The smartphone is running on Android 9 Pie out of the box.
Connectivity options include Dual SIM, Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11ac dual-band (2×2 MU-MIMO ), Bluetooth 5, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou, and USB Type-C. The phone is fueled by a 4000mAh battery with 27W fast charging support.
In terms of camera, there is a dual rear camera set up with a 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor having f/1.75 aperture and a 12MP telephoto lens with f/2.2 aperture for 2x lossless zoom. There is a 20MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture.
Dimensions of the phone are 163.61×75.01x 8.77mm and its weight is 205g. The handset comes in Electric black, Ice ash, Blue, Orange, and Purple colors.
Price, Availability
The Black Shark 2 Pro price starts at 2999 yuan (Rs. 29,950 approx.) for the 12GB RAM with 128GB storage model. While the 12GB RAM with 256GB storage version costs 3499 yuan (Rs. 34,945 approx.). It will go on sale in China from August 2.
