Vivo S1 with Super AMOLED Display, 32MP Selfie, Triple Rear Cameras Launched in India Starting at Rs. 17,990

Vivo has introduced a new ‘S series’ in India with launching the Vivo S1 today. The key features of the new mid-range include a 6.39-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display, a new MediaTek Helio P65 processor, 4500mAh battery, triple rear cameras as well as a 32MP selfie camera.

Vivo is touting this phone with its stylish design. The new Vivo S1 sports a 2.5 curved back with a nano-ion coating that includes a combination of colors and effects. The device also has a dedicated button for launching the assistant.

Vivo S1 Specifications

The Vivo S1 sports a 6.38-inch Full HD+(2340 × 1080 pixels) Super AMOLED display with about 90% screen-to-body ratio. The device also has an in-display fingerprint scanner. The handset comes in Skyline Blue and Diamond Black colors.

It is powered by MediaTek Helio P65 12nm processor with ARM Mali-G52 GPU. The latest chipset has 4x Cortex-A75 clocked @ 2.0 GHz and 4x Cortex-A55 clocked @ 2.0 GHz. It is paired with up to 6GB RAM and up to 128GB storage.


The smartphone runs on Android 9.0 (Pie) with Funtouch OS 9 on top. The device is powered by a 4500mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.

In terms of camera, there is a 16MP primary camera with Sony IMX499 sensor, f/1.78 aperture, an 8MP 120° ultrawide sensor with f/2.2 aperture, and a 2MP depth sensor. There is a 32MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture.

Connectivity options include Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac dual-band, Bluetooth 5, GPS/GLONASS, micro USB port, 3.5 mm audio jack. Dimensions of the phone are 159.53 × 75.23 × 8.13mm and its weight is 179g.

Price, Availability, Offers

The Vivo S1 price in India starts at Rs. 17,990 for the 4GB+128GB version. The 6GB+64GB version is priced at Rs. 18,990 and the top-end 6GB+128GB version costs Rs. 19,990.

The 4GB RAM+128GB storage model will be available from tomorrow, August 8th via both online and offline channels.

Launch offers include 7.5% discount for HDFC customers, Paytm cashback and benefits for Jio subscribers.
