Redmi Note 8 Series Launching in India on October 16 [Update: With MIUI 11]

Update: The upcoming Redmi Note 8 series will come with running the latest MIUI 11 on top of Android 9 Pie. Today MIUI India has officially confirmed that the MIUI 11 will officially be launched on October 16 in India, along with the Redmi Note 8 series.

Xiaomi introduced MIUI 11, the next major update of its own custom UI in China last month. The stable MIUI 11 build for the first set of devices is already rolling out there. MIUI 11 brings a new optimized modern design for UI that is focused on content viewing.

At the Redmi 8 launch, Xiaomi confirmed that it would launch the most expected Redmi Note 8 Pro in India on October 16. The company will also launch the Redmi Note 8 in the country alongside Redmi Note 8 Pro. The two phones were already launched in China back in August and now they are coming to India.

Redmi Note 8 Pro Specs

To remind you, the Redmi Note 8 Pro packs a 6.53-inch Full HD+ LCD screen with Gorilla Glass 5 and TÜV Rheinland eye protection certification. It the world’s first smartphone to be powered by the latest Helio G90T SoC processor and also the first phone to feature liquid cooling in this price range.

This also one of the first phones to feature a 64-megapixel quad camera with Samsung GW1 Sensor. It is accompanied by an 8-megapixel 120° ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2-megapixel depth sensor and a 2-megapixel sensor for 2cm macro shots. It has a 20-megapixel camera on the front.

The phone sports a 3D glass back with Gorilla Glass 5 protection and has a splash-resistant body with IP52 ratings. The phone is powered by a 4500mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.

Redmi Note 8 Specs

While Redmi Note 8 comes with 6.39-inch (2340 ×1080 pixels) Full HD+ display with Gorilla Glass 5 protection and TÜV Rheinland eye protection certification. It is powered by Snapdragon 665 processor.

Its quad-camera set up comes with a 48MP camera with f/1.79 aperture, Samsung ISOCELL GM2 sensor, PDAF, EIS, an 8MP 120° ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2MP depth sensor and a 2MP camera for 2cm macro shots. It has a 13MP front camera with an f/2.0 aperture.

This also packs a glass body with Gorilla Glass 5 protection, and Splash proof (P2i nano-coating). The phone packs a 4000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.

Redmi Note 8 Series Price in India

The Redmi Note 8 Pro price in India is expected to start at Rs. 13,999 as it comes at 1399 Yuan in China. Similarly, the Redmi Note 8 is expected to start at Rs. 9,999 in India.
