Motorola Razr Foldable Phone Launched: Features, Specs & Price

Motorola Razr is the company’s first foldable phone or we can say it is flip smartphone similar to the old Moto Razr. But the new Razr has a large flexible OLED screen that closes completely in half with the hinge mechanism and a secondary external display that lets you do many things such as take selfies, play music, use Google Assistant, etc without opening your phone.

Other key features of Motorola Razr include a 16MP rear camera, a 5-megapixel selfie camera, Snapdragon 710 with 6GB RAM, stock Android Pie and a 2510mAh battery that promises all-day battery life.

Motorola Razr Specifications

The new Motorola Razr sports a 6.2-inch (2142 x 876 pixels) foldable pOLED screen with 21:9 Cinemavision aspect ratio and an external 2.7-inch (600 x 800 pixels) gOLED screen with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 Protection. The phone comes in Noir Black color only.

It is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 710 processor with Adreno 616 GPU, paired with 6GB LPPDDR4x RAM and 128GB storage. The smartphone runs on Android 9.0 Pie.

The phone has a 16MP rear camera with a Sony IMX519 sensor, f/1.7 aperture, 1.22um pixel size, EIS, Dual Pixel autofocus (AF) and a 5MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture & screen flash. It has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.

Dimensions of the device when unfolded are 72 x 172 x 6.9mm and when it is folded it measures 72 x 94 x 14mm. Its weight is 205g. The phone is also splash-proof with water-resistant nanocoating.

Connectivity features include Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS, NFC, and USB Type-C. The phone doesn’t have a 3.5mm audio jack, but it comes with Premium USB Type-C headphones. The phone packs a 2510mAh battery with 15W TurboPower fast charging support.

Price, Availability

The Motorola Razr will be available for pre-order in the US exclusively from Verizon starting from December 26 at $62.49 per month for 24 months. However, it is priced at $1,499.99 (Rs. 1,08,230 approx.) without contract and will be available from January 9. The company will also launch it in India very soon.
