Redmi Note 8 Comes in New Cosmic Purple Color: Price, Availability

Redmi Note 8 has been one of the best selling budget phones recently. The company has even announced that it had sold over 1 million units of Redmi Note 8 series in one month. Seeing this, the company has decided to launch a purple color variant of Redmi Note 8.

Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 8 smartphone in India last month. At that time the smartphone was made available in three colors options- Neptune Blue, Moonlight White, and Space Black. Now, the company has launched this new Cosmic Purple color variant of the phone. It will be available during Xiaomi Black Friday Sale starting from November 29.

Redmi Note 8 Specs

To recall, the Redmi Note 8 sports a glass back panel with Gorilla Glass 5 protection and also comes with splash-resistant coating. The phone sports a 6.39-inch Full HD+ LCD screen with a 90% screen-to-body ratio. It has TÜV Rheinland eye protection certification as well as Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

The phone is powered by Snapdragon 665 11nm processor with up to 6GB RAM. It packs up to 128GB storage which is expandable via a dedicated micro SD card slot. The smartphone runs on MIUI 10 based on Android 9 Pie.

In the camera department, it features a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor with 4-in-1 pixel binning technology, an 8-megapixel 120° ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2-megapixel depth sensor and a 2-megapixel macro camera for 2cm shots. It has a 13MP selfie camera.

It sports an improved speaker with a 40% better output compared to the Redmi Note 7 and also has nanomesh filament for automatic cleaning of dust. The device packs a 4000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging and the fast charger comes inside the box.

Price & Availability

The Redmi Note 8 is priced at Rs. 9,999 for the 4GB+64GB variant and 6GB+128GB variant costs Rs. 12,999. The new color variant will go on sale from November 29 via Amazon.in, Mi.com and Mi Home stores.
