Xiaomi, OPPO, realme and Nokia to Launch Snapdragon 865, Snapdragon 765 & 765G Powered Phones Soon

Qualcomm announced new chipsets at its tech summit yesterday. The new chipset lineup includes Snapdragon 865 flagship chip and mid-range Snapdragon 765 & 765G chips. The Snapdragon 865 chipset will fuel the most flagship phones in the coming year. While the Snapdragon 765 SoCs that come with integrated 5G modems will bring 5G connectivity to mid-range phones.

During the Qualcomm’s summit, brands like Xiaomi, HMD Global, and OPPO announced their respective upcoming smartphones powered by these new chips. Here take a look at the possible list.

Mi 10 with Snapdragon 865

Xiaomi announced that its upcoming flagship Mi 10 will be one of the first smartphones to be powered by the Snapdragon 865. The phone is expected to launch in Q1 2020. If we talk about other features of Mi 10, it is expected to come with a waterfall display, 108MP camera, pop-up selfie camera, and Android 10 with MIUI 11 on top. The company’s co-founder Lin Bin has also posted about the Mi 10 Pro recently.

Redmi K30 with Snapdragon 765G

Xiaomi has already announced to launch its Redmi K30 5G smartphone in China on December 10. This phone is now confirmed to launch with a Snapdragon 765G processor. The specs and features of Redmi K30 have also been leaked and it is expected to sport a 6.6-inch punch-hole display with dual-selfie cameras and a 120Hz refresh rate. The Redmi K30 will sport a quad-rear camera setup with a new 60MP sensor from Sony and it is said to pack a 5,000mAh battery.


OPPO Phone with Snapdragon 865

OPPO has also announced that it will launch a flagship phone with the Snapdragon 865 in Q1 2020. However, the company hasn’t revealed any detail about the flagship phone. Separately, OPPO’s upcoming Reno 3 Pro 5G is also expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 765 chip. OPPO VP Brian Shen has recently confirmed that it will be the slimmest dual-mode 5G phone in its price segment with just 7.7mm thickness. It will sport a notch-less display and pack a 4,025mAh battery.

Realme Phone with Snapdragon 765

Realme has also confirmed to launch a smartphone with Snapdragon 765 SoC in India. The company recently teased its Realme X50 5G in China which will come with dual-mode 5G support. This phone is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 765 chip. Other leaked Realme X50 specs include a 6.44-inch full HD+ punch-hole AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate, 60MP quad-camera setup, dual selfie cameras, and a 4,500mAh battery with 50W fast charging support.

Nokia 5G Phone with Snapdragon 765

HMD Global has also announced that it will launch a Nokia smartphone with Snapdragon 765 processor early next year. The company said that the upcoming Nokia 5G phone will come with PureDisplay with HDR10 support and ZEISS optics. The upcoming Nokia phone will also have the ability to record 4K videos with an ultra-wide-angle camera.

Apart from these brands, some other smartphone makers like BlackShark, Coolpad, Lenovo, Meizu, Nubia, OnePlus, Vivo, and ZTE also have plans to launch phones with the latest Snapdragon chips in the coming year.
