Redmi K30 Coming to India with 64MP Sony IMX686 Sensor & Snapdragon 730G: Specs, Price

Xiaomi launched its Redmi K30 smartphone in China and the company is offering the phone in 4G and 5G variants. Since there is no 5G connectivity in India as of now, only Redmi K30 4G will come to India. Key features of Redmi K30 include a hole-punch 120Hz display that houses dual selfie cameras, a quad rear camera setup that houses a 64-megapixel Sony IMX686 sensor, 4,500mAh battery, and MIUI 11 based on Android 10.

The Redmi K30 comes with a 3D curved frosted glass body with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It comes in Deep-Sea Light, Flower Shadow, and Purple Jade Fantasy color options. Dimensions of the phone are 165.3×76.6×8.79mm and its weight is 208g.

Display: 120Hz

The Redmi K30 sports a 6.67-inch Full HD+(1080 × 2400 pixels) 20:9 LCD screen with just 4.38mm cutouts placed on the top-right edge of the screen. The display supports a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR 10. It is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

Processor: Snapdragon 730G

The device is powered by the Snapdragon 730G 8nm processor with Adreno 618 GPU. It is paired with up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB UFS 2.1 storage that is also expandable up to 512GB. The phone also has 5mm copper tube liquid cooling that cools the temperature of the phone by up to 7 degrees.


Camera: 64MP Sony IMX686

The phone has a quad-camera setup at the back that includes a 64MP primary camera with a Sony IMX686 sensor, f/1.89 aperture, an 8MP 120° ultra-wide sensor, a 2MP depth, and a 2MP macro sensor. It has a 20MP primary front camera and a 2MP secondary camera.

Battery, Connectivity & Other

Connectivity features on the phone include Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou, NFC, USB Type-C, and 3.5mm audio jack. The phone packs a 4500mAh battery with 27W fast charging.

The smartphone runs on Android 10 with MIUI 11 on top.

Price & Availability

The Redmi K30 price starts at 1599 yuan (Rs. 16,100 approx.) for the 6GB+64GB version and goes up to 2199 yuan (Rs. 22,140 approx.) for the 8GB+256GB version. So, the Redmi K30’s price in India is expected to start at Rs. 16,000. The Redmi K30 4G version will go on sale in China from December 12 and is expected to come to India soon.
