Xiaomi launched Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro flagship smartphones at an event in China today. The highlights of these smartphones include a 6.67-inch FHD+ curved AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate, an in-display fingerprint sensor, Snapdragon 865 chipset, 5G SA/NSA support with Snapdragon X55 Modem, up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM, 108MP Samsung sensor, up to 50x digital zoom, and MIUI 11 based on Android 10. The Mi 10 and 10 Pro come with 4780mAh and 4500 batteries with support for 30W and 50W fast charging respectively.
Mi 10/Mi 10 Pro Specs
Design
The Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro come with a 3D glass back with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Upfront, they sport a curved display and also have an in-display fingerprint sensor.
Dimensions of the devices are 162.6×74.8×8.96mm and their weight is 208g.
The Mi 10 comes in Titanium Black, Ice Blue, and Peach Gold colors, while Mi 10 Pro comes in Starry Blue and Pearl White colors.
Display
In terms of display, these sport a 6.67-inch Full HD+(2340 × 1080 pixels) AMOLED screen with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The display also supports HDR10+ and 90Hz refresh rate. It also comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
Performance
The phones are powered by Snapdragon 865 SoC with Adreno 650 GPU. These are paired with up to 12GB LPPDDR5 RAM. The Mi 10 packs up to 256GB UFS 3.0 storage, while Mi 10 Pro packs up to 512GB UFS 3.0 storage. The devices also come with liquid cooling.
These run on the latest MIUI 11 based on Android 10.
Camera
In terms of camera, the quad-camera setup has a 108MP Samsung sensor that supports OIS and incorporates a 4-in-1 Super Pixel tech with the latest RAW multi-frame noise reduction algo to capture rich details, even in low-light.
There is a 12MP telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom, dual PD autofocus support. It has another 8MP telephoto camera that supports 10x hybrid zoom, 5x optical zoom, and 50x digital zoom. There is a 20MP ultra-wide-angle camera as well.
The camera supports 8k recording at 30fps, 4k recording at 60fps, and 960fps at 720p.
There is a 20MP front-facing camera on both phones.
Battery
The Mi 10 packs a 4780mAh battery with 30W fast charging support and the Mi 10 Pro comes with a 4500mAh battery with 50W fast charging support. Both phones also support 30W wireless fast charging and 10w wireless reverse charging as well.
Connectivity
Connectivty features include 5G SA/NSA support with Snapdragon X55 Modem, Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 6 802.11 ax (2.4GHz + 5GHz), MU-MIMO, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS (L1 + L5), NFC, and USB Type-C.
Price, Availability
The Mi 10 is priced at 3999 yuan (Rs. 40,920 approx.) for the 8GB+128GB version, 4299 yuan (Rs. 43,990 approx.) for the 8GB+256GB version and the top-end 12GB+256GB version costs 4699 yuan (Rs. 48,080 approx.)
The Mi 10 Pro is priced at 4999 yuan (Rs. 51,150 approx.) for the 8GB+256GB version, 5499 yuan (Rs. 56,270 approx.) for the 12GB+256GB version and the top-end 12GB+512GB version costs 5999 yuan (Rs. 61,370 approx.).
The smartphones will be available in China from February 18. These are also expected to launch in India soon.
