Coronavirus Lockdown: List of Smartphone Companies Offering Warranty Extension in India

Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a nationwide lockdown for 21 days in a bid to try to stop the spread of coronavirus pandemic in India. Due to this ongoing lockdown, many smartphone companies in India have announced a warranty extension.

Smartphone maker companies including Samsung, OnePlus, Realme and others have extended warranties on their products to help customers during the lockdown. Here, we list the companies that are offering a warranty extension for their products.

Samsung

Samsung smartphones whose warranty expires between March 20, 2020, and April 30, 2020, will get a warranty extension till May 31, 2020.

OnePlus

OnePlus smartphones whose warranty expires between March 1, 2020, and May 31, 2020, will get a warranty extension till May 31, 2020.


Realme

Users who purchase or have purchased Realme smartphones between March 15, 2020, and April 30, 2020, will get an additional 30 days replacement period. Moreover, the company has also extended warranty for these purchases till May 31, 2020.

Vivo & iQOO

Vivo smartphones whose warranty expires between March 1, 2020, and May 31, 2020, will get a warranty extension for the next 90 days.

Vivo’s sib-brand iQOO users who purchase their smartphone before April 30, 2020, will get a warranty extension of 90 days.

OPPO

OPPO smartphones whose warranty expires after March 23, 2020, will get a warranty extension till May 31, 2020.

Lenovo and Motorola

Motorola and Lenovo smartphones, accessories whose warranty expires between March 15, 2020, and April 14, 2020, will get a warranty extension of up to 75 days till May 31, 2020.

ASUS

ASUS smartphones, laptops, desktops, and tablets whose warranty expires between March 25, 2020, and April 14, 2020, will get a warranty extension of 30 days.

TECNO

TECNO smartphones whose warranty expires between March 20, 2020, and May 31, 2020, will get a warranty extension of 2 months.

Infinix India

Infinix smartphones will get a warranty extension for 2 months. Inifnix users can check their warranty status from the company’s Carlcare app.

If we talk about other popular companies, Xiaomi is the one who hasn’t announced a warranty extension yet. However, the company has said that it will serve users’ requirements whenever possible.
