OPPO Ace 2 is OPPO’s latest smartphone that was launched at an event in China yesterday. Apart from being a flagship 5G phone, its highlight is that it comes with a 40W wireless charger, which makes it the world’s first phone with this tech. Other key specs of the phone include a 6.5-inch AMOLED 90Hz display with punch-hole, Snapdragon 865 with up to 12GB RAM, 48MP quad rear camera, in-display fingerprint scanner, a 4000mAh battery with support for 65W SuperVOOC Flash Charge.

Design and Display
The new OPPO Ace 2 sports a gradient glass back with a metal frame and comes in Silver, Grey, and Purple colors. Its other design features include an in-display fingerprint scanner and stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support.
Dimensions of the smartphone are 160.0×75.4×8.6mm and its weight is 185g.
Coming to the display, it sports a 6.5-inch Full HD+(2400 × 1080 pixels) AMOLED display with HDR support and a 90Hz refresh rate. It has Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
Hardware and Software
The device is powered by Snapdragon 865 7nm processor with Adreno 650 GPU and paired with up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM. It packs up to 256GB UFS 3.0 storage. The smartphone runs on Android 10 with ColorOS 7.1 on top.
Cameras
The quad-camera setup on the phone includes a 48MP main camera with 0.8um pixel size, f/1.7 aperture, an 8MP 116° Ultra Wide Lens with 3cm macro, a 2MP portrait lens, and a 2MP mono lens. It has a 16MP front camera with f/2.4 aperture.
Battery and Fast Charging
The device is powered by a 4000mAh battery with support for 65W SuperVOOC Flash Charge that can charge it’s battery in less than 30 minutes. It also comes with 40W Air VOOC wireless fast charging that can charge it in just 56 minutes. The Air VOOC wireless fast charger comes with a fan for air cooling that keeps the temperature below 39°C. It also supports 10W wireless reverse charging and is Qi-compliant for 10w charging.
Connectivity
Connectivity features on the phone include 5G SA/NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ax (2×2 MU-MIMO), Bluetooth 5.1, GPS/GLONASS/Beidou, and USB Type-C.
Price and Availability
OPPO Ace 2 price starts at 3999 yuan (Rs. 43,220 approx.) for the 8GB+128GB version and goes up to 4599 yuan (Rs. 49,700 approx.) for the 12GB+256GB storage version. The Air VOOC wireless fast charger is priced at 249 yuan (Rs. 2,690 approx.). The phone will be available in China starting from April 20.
