I was taken aback by this bold move by ChatGPT to introduce a WhatsApp model. Since WhatsApp and Instagram already have Meta. This is done to expand the user base and make ChatGPT available on a widely familiar channel, i.e. WhatsApp. If you are from the U.S., then you can also call ChatGPT and ask anything or have random conversations.
The WhatsApp chat is based on a mini model of the ChatGPT 4o model. It is responsive and understands your query. However, one can definitely identify that the results are not that personalized but general. More on that later.
How to Access ChatGPT on WhatsApp
You can access the ChatGPT by initiating a chat on a particular number. If you are living in the U.S., you can also call ChatGPT on any phone(Even with a keyboard). To start chatting, simply follow the steps.
1. Open WhatsApp and initiate a new contact by clicking on the “+” icon and then on New Contact.
2. Feed in this number (1-1800-2428478).
3. You can also use this QR. To do this, click on the QR icon next to New Contact.
4. Once you do this, you can access ChatGPT directly from WhatsApp.
5. Note that this feature currently only supports text conversations. Meaning you can not feed any images or PDFs through chats.
Note – You can only use ChatGPT via call for a duration of 15 minutes only. Also, the results from the WhatsApp model are slower when compared with App or website models.
