Realme 2 Pro Initial Impressions: A Better Upgrade!

Realme has launched the Pro version of their RealMe 2 smartphone which they launched in India last month. The Realme 2 Pro comes with upgraded hardware, better design and build, and a new waterdrop notch display.

The Realme 2 Pro is priced at just Rs. 13,990 comes with a lot of improvements. Notably, it has become the most affordable phone with Snapdragon 660 chipset. Here are the initial impressions of the smartphone to check out.

Design and Display

The RealMe 2 Pro comes with an upgraded design and form factor. The smartphone comes with a nice shiny back with polycarbonate panel and gradient shine which shimmers in the light. The smartphone has a polycarbonate build all over even the frame is built with plastic but overall the smartphone feels nice holding in hands and its lightweight too!

The display on the RealMe 2 Pro is a 6.3 inches FHS IPS panel which comes with a high screen to body ratio. The display looks stunning with its water drop notch display and the bottom chin has also been slimmed down a bit which is also impressive.

The display on RealMe 2 Pro has a little notch on the top side which holds the front-facing camera and the earpiece.

Camera

The RealMe 2 Pro comes with a dual camera set up at the back which includes a 16MP + 2MP camera for depth sensing in portrait mode. The aperture size on the main sensor is f/1.7 and it comes with some kind of video stabilization. The front-facing camera on RealMe 2 Pro is a 16MP sensor which comes with a f/2.0 aperture size for brighter selfies.

The RealMe 2 Pro also supports 4K video recording at 30 frames per second but stabilization seems to fade away in this mode. The smartphone takes some really good pictures with cool colors and better detail than other a regular 16MP on a smartphone. The camera samples are attached so you can check out for yourself.

Performance and Features

The RealMe 2 Pro comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor paired with 4GB LPDDR4 RAM for smoother multitasking and gaming performance. The PUBG Mobile game runs smoothly on this smartphone without any lag even on the highest framerate and HD quality. The Asphalt 9 also ran smooth enough which makes it playable on this smartphone.

The multitasking is also smooth enough with its LPDDR4 RAM. When idle, the smartphone uses half of its memory which is enough. The smartphone jumps across different opened apps seamlessly without any issue. The smartphone runs every game and apps smoothly using its fast processor and plenty of RAM.

Conclusion

The RealMe 2 Pro is a great smartphone which is almost perfect in every aspect whether it is the display, the design or the performance. The smartphone also comes with great real and front-facing camera for selfie freaks. The smartphone comes at a reasonable price for all the hardware and enhancement RealMe is providing.
