Display

The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 features a 5.99 inch full HD+ resolution display. This panel comes with curved edges and an 18:9 aspect ratio. This display has good specifications on paper and is equally good in real usage.

Crisply visible in direct sunlight and considerably dim in low light, the display on the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 works really well. The color reproduction, as well as response from the display, are really good. However, due to the phone’s display stretching all the way up, it can be slightly inconvenient for single-handed usage for some users.

Cameras

Coming to optics, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 is packing a 12MP primary camera with 4-axis OIS, f/2.0 aperture and a 18K gold plated rim around it. A 5MP front camera is there at the chin of the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2. You’ll need to hold the phone upside-down to comfortably take a selfie. Here are some camera samples that we got from the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2.

Daylight Samples

The 12MP rear camera of the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 works really well under natural light. There is no shutter lag, no grains and the color reproduction and detail are also good.

Artificial Light samples

Coming to artificial lighting, the camera is well performing but some grains start seeping in. While there is no shutter lag, the camera on the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 was having slight difficulty in focusing.

Low light samples

In low light conditions, the grains are quite visible but when seen altogether, the camera does a fine job. With internal enhancements, the low light images on the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 are brightened up which may look artificial sometimes.
