Apple had launched the PRODUCT RED editions of the Apple iPhone 8 and 8 Plus earlier this month. The iPhone, as titled, comes with a red colored glass back panel. At the launch, Apple confirmed that the smartphone will come to India early next month. Today, the iPhone 8 (PRODUCT) RED and the iPhone 8 Plus (PRODUCT) RED are available to pre-order on e-commerce websites.
The iPhone 8 (PRODUCT) RED starts from Rs. 67,940 for the base model (64GB) while the iPhone 8 Plus (PRODUCT) RED 64GB variant is available for Rs. 77,560. The iPhone (PRODUCT) RED 128GB priced at Rs. 81,500 and the iPhone 8 Plus (PRODUCT) RED priced at Rs. 91,110.
Both the iPhones with are available in India for pre-order from Flipkart. The sale will start from April 30 and the phones are already available from Apple’s authorized retailers.
Apple launched the (PRODUCT) RED variant of the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus too last year which came with the white front but the iPhone 8 (PRODUCT) RED variants are coming with a black front panel which makes it more appealing. Australia is one the first countries to receive the (PRODUCT) RED iPhone 8 on April 13 followed by Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, UK and the US.
The Vice President of Product Marketing, Apple, Greg Joswiak said on the launch of the (PRODUCT) RED iPhones that, “This special edition (PRODUCT) RED iPhone features a stunning red and black colour combination and also offers customers the opportunity to make an impact in fighting the spread of HIV and AIDS.”
