No Cash On Delivery for Redmi Note 5 Pro in next flash sale on March 7

Last month, Xiaomi had launched its latest smartphones Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro in India. The devices are being sold via flash sales on Flipkart and Mi.com. There have been two sales earlier last month and now the third flash sale is scheduled on March 7. For the third flash sale, it seems Flipkart has removed the Cash On Delivery (COD) option for the Redmi Note 5 Pro.

Cash on delivery not available in the next sale,” this message is shown on the Redmi Note 5 Pro sale page on Flipkart. However, this is not on the Redmi Note 5 page. It would seem that this decision has been made to reduce the black marketing of Xiaomi’s latest mid-range smartphone that seems to be more popular than the Redmi Note 5.

This move from the company will stop many resellers who are ordering the Redmi Note 5 Pro units in bulk with COD option and then selling it through offline or other channels for more profit. However, this move will also be problematic for many buyers who are not comfortable in making online payments.
