Gionee has announced two latest mid-range smartphones – M7 and M7 Power in its ‘M Series’ in China. The company has announced M7 Power smartphone as Big Gold Steel 2, however, it will be launched as the M7 Power in Thailand later this week.

The Gionee M7 is priced at 2799 yuan (Rs. 27,485 approx.) and will go on sale from tomorrow, September 26. The Gionee M7 Power is priced at 1999 yuan (Rs. 19,620 approx.)  and will be available in China from September 30.

Gionee M7 Specifications

The Gionee M7 features a 6.01-inch FHD+ (2160 × 1080 pixels) FullView AMOLED 2.5D curved glass display with 18:9 aspect ratio. The metal unibody phone features a fingerprint sensor at the back. Dimension wise it measures 157 × 76 × 7.2mm and weighs 180g.

Powering the M7 is an Octa-Core MediaTek Helio P30 16nm processor clocked at 2.3GHz with ARM Mali-G71 MP2 GPU. Memory wise it packs 6GB RLPDDR4X RAM, and 64GB internal storage which is expandable up to 256GB with microSD.

On the software front, the M7 runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat with Amigo OS 5.0 on top. Gionee has included dual security chips that have passed EAL6 security test along with a built-in security encryption chip for safe payments.

Coming to the camera, the Gionee M7 sports a dual rear camera setup. The primary rear camera is a 16MP camera with LED flash, f/1.8 aperture, and 6P lens. Along with this, it features an 8MP secondary camera. At the front, it features an 8MP camera with LED flash.

Connectivity options on M7 include hybrid dual SIM, 4G VoLTE, dual band Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS + GLONASS, 3.5mm audio jack, FM Radio and NFC. The phone is powered by a 4000mAh battery with fast charging support.

Gionee M7 Power Specifications

The Gionee M7 Power features a 6-inch FullView 2.5D curved glass display with 1440 x 720 pixels resolution and in 18:9 aspect ratio. Dimension wise it measures 156.3 × 75.6 × 8.6mm and weighs 187g. It also features a metal unibody with a fingerprint sensor on its back.

On the hardware front, it is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 435 processor clocked at 1.4GHz with Adreno 505 GPU. Memory wise it packs 4GB RAM, with 64GB internal storage which is expandable up to 256GB with microSD.

In the camera department, the M7 Power features a single 13MP rear camera with LED flash, PDAF, and f/2.0 aperture. At the front, it sports an 8MP camera with flash. The phone runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat with Amigo OS 5.0 on top.

The Gionee M7 is priced at 2799 Yuan (Rs. 27,485 approx.). It comes in Sapphire Blue, Star Blue, Maple Red, Champagne Gold and Black colors, and will go on sale from tomorrow, September 26th.

The Gionee M7 Power is priced at 1999 yuan (Rs. 19,620 approx.) and will be available in China from September 30th. It comes in Blue, Black and Gold colors and will be first introduced in Thailand on September 28th.
