Huawei sub-brand Honor has unveiled a new smartphone in India today dubbed as Honor 9i. The phone is the mid-range version of the Huawei Nova 2i which was launched in China recently. The Honor 9i is priced at Rs. 17,999 and will be exclusively available on Flipkart starting from October 14.

Honor has been teasing about the phone for quite some time now on its social media channels, touting it as a camera-centric device. The main highlight of the phone is, it has four cameras- two at the front and two at the back. Moreover, it has a 5.9-inch display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. Honor 9i Specifications

The Honor 9i is the same phone which was launched as Huawei Nova 2i in China last month. If we talk about its design, Honor has also started to follow the minimum bezels trend. The new Honor 9i comes with a metal unibody design and features a 5.9 inch display with 2160 x 1080 resolution in 18:9 aspect ratio and a 2.5D curved glass. It runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with EMUI 5.1 on top.

In the hardware department, the Honor 9i is powered by an octa-core Kirin 659 processor clocked at 2.36GHz and clubbed with Mali T830-MP2 GPU. Memory wise, it comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 128GB via microSD card.

Coming to the camera department, the Honor 9i comes with four cameras – a dual camera setup on both the front and the back of the device. On the rear, it comes with a 16MP + 2MP dual camera setup with a dual LED flash. On the front, the device features a 13MP + 2MP secondary camera setup with an LED flash.

The Honor 9i is powered by a 3,340mAh battery. Connectivity options on the device include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, NFC and a USB Type C port. It comes with a fingerprint sensor placed below the rear camera.

Pricing and Availability

The Honor 9i has been priced at Rs. 17,999. It comes Prestige Gold, Aurora Blue, and Graphite Black colors. It will be exclusively available on Flipkart starting from October 14.
