“People rely on their smartphones every day to be their news channel, email inbox, social network and music player,” said Faisal Siddiqui, Country Head, HTC India. “The HTC Desire 600 dual sim combines speed and easy multitasking with the truly innovative HTC BlinkFeed home screen. The result is an affordable mid-range phone that sets the standard for its class, keeping the busiest user up-to-date at a glance and offering them the power and range of features to switch between work and play.”

HTC desire is powered by a Quad core Snapdragon 200 MSM8625Q Qualcomm processor which comes with is clocked at a frequency of 1.2 GHz and is based on ARM cortex A5 architecture. This processor is backed by a 1 GB RAM which together gives you an efficient chipset. The internal storage memory of this device is 8 GB which can be further expanded to 64 GB using a microSD card.

The Display of this Phone is a 4.5 Inch Super LCD2 (SLCD) display with qHD resolution of 540 x 960 pixels. This gives you a pixel density of 245 ppi which is above average clarity display. More over SLCD will ensure more brightness and outdoor visibility.

This phone has a autofocus 8MP primary camera with 3264 x 2448 pixels which is a very good quality. LED flash is also there for low lighting photography. It is capable of recording 720p videos at 30fps. Secondary camera of this device is of 1.3 MP for those interested in video calling.

HTC Desire 600 weighs a moderate 130 grams and has a battery capacity of 1860 mAh which HTC claims will give you up to 11hrs of talk time on 3G and 11 hrs 20 mins with 2G. Connectivity features include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPRS, NFC, Infrared, EDGE and Micro USB.

This Dual SIM phone comes with a host of other features from HTC like, HTC BlinkFeed, which was also seen in earlier HTC desire series smartphones. This feature transforms your home screen and enables you to view all your notifications and feeds directly on home screen. HTC video highlights allow you to make 30 sec clips with integrated music by a single tap on screen. Other feature which makes little difference is the HTC Boom sound which hasn’t proved very enticing so far.

Yes, many other manufactures are providing better hardware specification at this price range and but the pricing is competitive we consider other HTC devices. This device will suffice for general purpose usage and moderate to intensive gamming applications. Those looking for options can try Google Nexus 4(23,911 INR), Huawei Ascend Mate (24,900 INR) Or Panasonic P51 (21000 INR). You can buy this phone from Saholic for Rs. 26,890 and you will also get Bluetooth headset worth 1599 INR free with this handset.
