Huawei, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer, has officially launched the 5 – inch Quad core Android phone “Huawei Ascend D2” at CES event.
The Ascend D2 provides a purer smartphone experience in terms of scale and features, which sees it go up against the newly announced Sony Xperia Z and Samsung S3. HUAWEI Ascend D2 got a cool look, Style, Power and all round performance capability that a person desires in the Smart phone.
Huawwi Ascend D2 runs got an aluminum body and metal frame weighing just 170g and measuring 9.9mm thin and Is designed with curved design body that fits comfortably in the hand and is available in pure white and crystal blue. This Phone runs on Android 4.1- Jelly Bean and is featured with 5-inch FHD IPS + 443 PPI Super Retina LCD display that boasts a stunning 1920 x 1080p Full HD resolution and eye-popping 443 pixels-per-inch image density.
This phone operates on K3V2 1.5 GHz Quad-core CPU and got a 3000mAH battery. It has a 13 Mega Pixel BSI Camera with detail capturing technology and an ISO sensitivity level higher than other smartphones in this category. Most importantly with this 3000mAH battery and Huawei’s proprietary Quick Power Control (QPC) and Automated Discontinuous Reception (ADRX) battery efficiency technology, it has a stand-by time of six days on WCDMA. QPC technology lowers battery consumption by automatically turning off the transmitter circuit when data transmission is not in use. Its ADRX technology identifies and automatically adjusts the DRX cycle based on the network status, reducing power consumption during standby mode by over 20%. In addition, Huawei’s proprietary fast battery charging technology enables the HUAWEI Ascend D2 to be fully charged in 30% less time than its takes other smartphones under the same electricity conditions.
The HUAWEI Ascend D2 has a ‘swift sharing’ feature which makes it easier than ever to share and its ‘super hands-free’ function transforms the Ascend D2 into a conversation sharing portable to receive sounds within a radius of 1.5m. The Ascend D2 also supports Dolby surrounding sound and stereo recording., the HUAWEI Ascend D2 will also be produced in a 4.7-inch screen version. The HUAWEI Ascend D2 will be on sale in China in January 2013, and in Japan in the future. Also with its cool look and an amazing features this phone is protected by the anti-scratch Corning Gorilla glass, and the dust and water resistant IPX 5/4.

Though , the company has not yet confirmed Huawei Ascend D2 release date and country name in which the phone is to be marketed and currently tipped only to be on sale in China in January 2013 and Japan in the future, this phone is definitely consider to rival the rival the likes of Samsung Galaxy S3, Google Nexus 4 and Iphone 5. The pricing for this phone is also still unclear but it is definitely a one to be looked for.
