Huawei Nova 3, Nova 3i Launched in India: Price, Offers, Specifications

Huawei has launched its new Nova series smartphones Nova 3 and Nova 3i at an event in India today. The highlight features of the smartphones are premium design, notched display, four cameras, GPU Turbo tech etc.

Huawei launched the Nova 3 and Nova 3i in China a few days back. Now, both the smartphones come to India. The Nova 3 and Nova 3i have the same design, same display, same software and same dual front cameras. But, the Nova 3i is a more toned down version with different hardware and rear camera specs.

Huawei Nova 3, Nova 3i Price and Offers in India

The Huawei Nova 3 comes with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage while Nova 3i comes with 4GB+128GB combination. The Nova 3 price in India is Rs. 34,999, and it will go on sale in India on August 23. While the Nova 3i is priced at Rs. 20,990 and its sale will start on August 7.

Both the smartphones are Amazon exclusive and their pre-orders will start today at 2 pm. The company is offering Rs. 1,000 cashback on pre-booking. Other launch offers include no-cost EMIs, extra Rs. 2,000 off on exchange. Reliance Jio customers will get Rs. 1,200 cashback, 100GB additional data and Rs. 3300 worth vouchers from partners.


Huawei Nova 3 Specifications

Starting with the Huawei Nova 3, it sports a 6.3-inch FHD+ (2280×1080) notched IPS display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by Huawei’s Kirin 970 processor coupled with dedicated NPU for enabling AI functions and GPU Turbo technology for smoother and faster mobile gaming experience.

In terms of camera, the Nova 3 sports a dual rear camera setup with a 16MP primary sensor and a 24MP secondary sensor with PDAF and f/1.8 aperture. The smartphone also has a dual camera set up at the front with a 24MP primary sensor with f/2.0 aperture, and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor.

Nova 3i Specifications

The Nova 3i also packs a similar 6.3-inch FHD+ IPS display with a 19:5:9 aspect ratio and a notch on top. It is powered by Huawei’s new Kirin 710 Octa-Core processor with support for GPU Turbo technology. It is the company’s first chipset made on the 12nm process.

In terms of optics, Nova 3i sports a similar 24-megapixel primary front camera along with a 2-megapixel secondary camera. At the back, it features a 16-megapixel primary camera with LED flash along with a 2MP secondary rear camera for portrait shots.

If we talk about other features, both support 3D Qmoji feature similar to Apple’s Animoji. Both have a fingerprint sensor on the glass back.  Both are the dual-SIM phones and also feature Dual 4G VoLTE and they run Android 8.1 Oreo-based EMUI 8.2.

The Nova 3i packs a slightly smaller 3340mAh battery compared to the Nova 3 which has a 3750mAh battery with support for fast charging.
