Huawei Y9 2018 launched with four cameras, Android 8.0 Oreo: Full specs, price

Huawei Y9 2018 has been launched in Thailand with four cameras – two on the front and two on the back, along with a 5.93-inch Full HD+ display. Many specifications of the Huawei Y9 2018 are similar to the previously released Huawei Mate 10 Lite and Honor 9i.

The Huawei Y9 2018 price and availability details are not out yet but according to some rumors, the Huawei Y9 2018 will cost EUR 200 which roughly translates to Rs 16,000.

The Huawei Y9 2018 is a dual SIM smartphone with Android 8.0 Oreo installed out of the box. The smartphone comes with a 5.93 inches FHD+ (1080 x 2160) resolution display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone is powered by a HiSilicon Kirin 659 chipset with the clock rate of 2.3 GHz which is paired with 3GB RAM. This is the same processor which we saw on the Huawei Mate 10 Lite and Honor 9 Lite.

The Y9 2018 sports a dual camera setup at the back as well as on the front for selfies. The dual camera setup includes a 13MP sensor and a 2MP sensor with an LED flash. The front-facing camera setup includes a 16MP sensor with a 2MP sensor. The smartphone comes with a 32 GB internal memory which is also expandable via microSD card.


The Y9 2018 comes with all the standard connectivity options like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. Powering the smartphone is a big 4000 mAh battery. The fingerprint sensor is placed at the back and the smartphone weighs only 170 grams and is 7.9 mm thin.

The Huawei Y9 2018 could be priced roughly at 200 euros, which translates to approximately Rs 16,000. The smartphone comes in Black, Blue and Gold colour options. There is no official statement that if the smartphone is coming to other markets as of now.
