Intex has announced the launch of the Aqua Xtreme V smartphone in India in an attempt to expand its Aqua smartphone lineup. The handset is an upgraded variant of the Aqua Xtreme that went official in December last year. The Aqua Xtreme V is similar to its prequel in terms of specifications expect for the 16 GB storage space and it is priced at Rs 11,290.

Detailing on the specifications front, the Intex Aqua Xtreme V is bestowed with a 5 inch IPS LCD display with HD screen resolution of 1280×720 pixels that is standard. This screen is protected with the DragonTrail Glass protection. The device is equipped with a 1.7 GHz true octa core MediaTek MT6592 processor that is teamed up with 2 GB of RAM.

While its predecessor packs in 32 GB of storage space, the Aqua Xtreme V comes bundled with 16 GB of storage that can be expanded further by another 32 GB. There is a 13 MP main snapper at the back of the Intex smartphone with LED flash. This snapper is teamed up with software aspects such as Panorama, Continuous Shot, Live Photo Mode, Face Beauty, Smile Shot, Face Detection and Object Tracking. A 5 MP front facing snapper is given for video conferencing and clicking selfies.

Software onboard the Intex Aqua Xtreme V is Android 4.4.2 KitKat. There are connectivity aspects such as 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS with A-GPS and dual SIM functionality. A 2,000 mAh battery powers the device rendering up to 7 hours of talk time and 180 hours of standby time respectively. The device is preloaded with Intex Zone, Intex Play, Flipkart, Intex Care and Opera Mini applications.
