New wave of Firefox devices hitting entry level market aim to provide basic smartphone experience to users switching from features phones – a feat Android has attempted but not quite successfully.

The display is 3.5 inches in size with 320 x 480 pixel resolution and will be fueled by a 1 GHz Processor backed by only 128 MB RAM and 256 MB storage, out of which 46 MB is available. You have option of extending storage by another 4 GB. It remains to be seen how well, Firefox OS will run on this scanty hardware.

Imaging hardware includes 2 MP rear camera and VGA camera. Powering all these internals is a 1250 mAh battery which will last for 4 hours of talk time and 200 hours of standby time. Other features include Dual SIM functionality, 2G, WiFi, AGPS and Bluetooth. Firefox OS is Linux based operating system and runs HTML 5 based universal apps. By not using Native codes, users get to run all HTML 5 based apps on Firefox OS phones. The phone is available for purchase exclusively on Snapdeal.
