Besides buying tickets, the App also allows you to checking reservation status, train schedules, train routes, availability of tickets, cancellation, booking history, recent history, favourites, and more.

To begin with, you will have to download the 11.78 MB App and register for an IRCTC account(if you don’t already have one). After verifying both your phone number (be patient for verification code which comes via SMS) and Email, you can proceed to the app.

You can select your station, check for trains, book tickets, cancel tickets and more. The user interface seems quite simple and easy to understand. We did spot a couple of minor bugs, but app works fine. Registration is allowed from the app itself and a user guide is also present, thus the app is quite new-user friendly.

Main Highlights of IRCTC App:

• One step login to existing users

• Search and Book train tickets

• View and Cancel tickets

• Retains recently added passenger details

• New Users, register from App directly

• Upcoming Journey Alerts
