The Miix 2 tablets have been launched in 10.1 inch and 11.6 inch form factors. This clearly implies that the devices are meant to primarily be used as laptops by attaching the keyboard. Unlike the current breed of hybrid devices that require a carved out niche to sit on the keyboard, the Miix 2 uses magnetic hinges which makes it easier to use for the user.

Both variants, i.e., the 11.6 inch and 10.1 inch come with 1920 x 1200 pixel IPS displays which allow for up to 178 degrees of viewing angle. There however, is a little difference in underlying hardware between the two devices.

While the 10.1 inch variant comes with an Intel Atom Bay Trail processor along with 2GB of RAM and up to 128GB of storage, the 11 inch one comes with a 4th-generation Intel Core i5 processor, while offering up to to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB SSD storage. This clearly puts the 11.6 inch variant ahead in terms of pure grunt.

That was for the difference between the two. Now for what’s common – Both devices come with a 5MP rear camera, 2MP front camera, WiFi, 3G/4G LTE connectivity (optional on both), and Bluetooth 4.0.

While the Lenovo Miix 2 10.1-inch’s pricing starts at $449, the 11.6-inch starts at $599.
