Lenovo Vibe S1 with Dual Selfie Cameras and Vibe P1, P1m With Massive Batteries Announced

Over the years we have come to expect innovative smartphones from Lenovo. Weather it is the layered Vibe X2 or the point and shoot Vibe Shot, the Chinese manufacturer always has something new up its sleeves. At IFA 2015, Lenovo has introduced a trio of Vibe series smartphones, namely the Vibe S1, P1 and P1m. The standout feature for P series is some of the biggest batteries, while the Vibe S1 tries to distinguish itself from the rest of the crowd by incorporation a dual camera setup, but on the front side!

Overcrowding poorly implemented Front cameras couldn’t salvage Amazon’s Fire Phone and the whole thing turned out to be a big disaster. But that doesn’t deter Lenovo from showcasing its next innovation, The Vibe S1, with dual front snappers. So, why would you need two of those things out there? For bokeh affects, like always.

The first camera has a 8 Inch sensor, and next to it there is a 2MP depth sensor. The Vibe S1 features glass (Gorilla Glass 3) on both front and rear side, and straps metal around the sides. Innards are quite powerful too. MediaTek MT6752 will do all the heavy lifting, ticking inside at 1.7 GHz, paired with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. Take a look at spec sheet below for full list of specifications.

Out of the two, Vibe P1 is bigger and better. It includes a 5.5 Inch full HD display powered by Snapdragon 615 SoC, paired with 2GB RAM and 32GB storage. Since it is bigger and also thicker, It expectedly houses a beefier 5000 mAh battery.

Other notable features include 13MP rear camera with dual LED flash, 5MP front snapper, 128GB MicroSD card support, NFC and dual nano SIM card slots.

The Vibe P1m on the other hands has a smaller 5 Inch 720p display and is powered by MediaTek budget MT6735P quad core chip, ticking at 1GHz and paired with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage. Imaging hardware has also been trimmed down to 8MP rear/ 5MP front cameras. Other features include 32GB microSD card support, dual SIM card slots, NFC and a 4000 mAh battery.

Both Vibe P1 and P1m support USB OTG and can charge other accessories like portable headsets or perhaps, other smartphones, using their own batteries.
