LG today announced a new 4G LTE enabled smartphone for budget conscious buyers around the globe, dubbed as LG F70. Like all new LG budget Android phones, LG F70 will also run Android 4.4 Kitkat and will also feature processing prowess of Qualcomm’s popular Snapdragon 400 quad core chipset.

The display is 4.5 inches in size but the display resolution has taken a hit with only 800 x 480 pixels (WVGA) spread across it. The pixel density of this IPS LCD display amounts to 207ppi which implies your texts won’t be as crisp.

The Snapdragon 400 quad core SoC clocked at 1.2 GHz and based on Cortex A7 ARM architecture, is assisted by 1 GB of RAM similar to Moto G. LG will launch 4 GB and 8 GB internal storage variants with MicroSD support for another 32 GB.

The rear camera is a 5 MP shooter with LED flash support coupled with a basic VGA front camera for those interested in video calling. The battery capacity of 2440 mAh is above average which is foreseeable as the device will support 4G LTE connectivity.

Other Connectivity features include 3G HSPA+, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n) and GPS/ A-GPS. LG has also extended Knock Code on this phone as well which allows you to knock a predefined pattern on screen to wakeup and unlock your phone.

We are not quite sure if LG will launch this smartphone in India compatible with Airtel’s 4G LTE network. The phone is expected to be priced around 15,000 INR if it comes with 4G LTE on board. LG will soon announce availability and pricing information in respective markets.
