Korean Smartphone manufacturer LG seems to have big plans for 2017. The company just announced the LG Q8. The phone is remarkably similar to LG’s flagship phone, the LG V20. The phone features a 5.2 inch main display, along with a secondary display on top. It has a dual camera setup and comes with a Snapdragon 820 processor. The device comes with 4GB RAM and 32GB onboard storage. The LG Q8 has been announced soon after the Q6 family was introduced.

LG Q8 Specifications

The LG Q8 comes with a premium looking full metal body. It comes with IP67 water-resistance. The Q8 features a horizontal dual-camera module and a fingerprint sensor at the back. The device comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. The device runs on Android 7.0 Nougat.

The LG Q8 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor clubbed with Adreno 530 GPU. The device comes with 4 GB RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. The storage on the device can be further expanded up to 2 TB via microSD card.

The LG Q8 features a 5.2 inch IPS LCD Quantum panel, along with a 2.1 inch secondary ‘Always On’ display. The primary display comes with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. The secondary display is an ‘Interactive Screen Assistant’ and comes with a resolution of 1040 x 160 pixels. The primary display comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection.

The LG Q8 features a dual camera setup at the back. It features a 13 MP 78-degree lens with f/1.8 aperture and a wide angle 8MP lens with f/2.4 aperture. The rear camera comes with OIS and Steady Record 2.0 for stable video recording. The front camera is a 5MP unit with f/1.9 aperture.

The Q8 is a 4G VoLTE enabled device with single Nano SIM support. It packs a 3,000 mAh non-removable battery. The phone features a USB Type-C 1.0 port, NFC port, Infrared port and a 3.5mm headphone jack as well.
