LG V30 Live Images Leaked, Comes With Dual Camera, Secondary Display

LG V30 has just appeared in some live photos for the first time. A few days ago, a leaked LG patent showed us the alleged design of an upcoming flagship. At that time, we didn’t know if it’s the V30 or the G7 itself. However, thanks to the live images posted by a Weibo user, we presume that the patent belongs to the successor of the LG V20. Moreover, Google also confirmed that LG will release a new high-end smartphone later this year.

Lately, Twitter tipster Evan Blass posted some photos of an unknown LG smartphone with a secondary slide out display. He indicated that it might be the LG V30. Conversely, Evan also mentioned that the leak is an ‘oldish mock-up’, and it may not turn out to be true.

Now, we have two pieces of evidence in our hand to prove that this secondary pull-out screen thing could be discarded by LG or reserved for the G7. The first proof is the exposed LG patent and the second one is these live images. The best part is that both of them are absolutely on par with each other. We can see a slim bar of secondary display above the purported LG V30 as specified in the leaked patent.

According to the exposed pictures, the successor of the LG V20 shall come in an almost bezel-less avatar. This will be mated with a metal unibody with a curved glass covering the back. A thin strip of secondary display lies right at the top of the primary screen with the selfie camera placed in the middle of it. There is no sign of any in-call speakers in the V30. This suggests that LG might have opted for the Piezoelectric technology used by Xiaomi Mi Mix.

Coming to the internal specifications, there is not much info available right now. Speculations suggest that the LG V30 would come with a Quad HD 5.7 to 6.0-inch OLED display. The Snapdragon 835 SoC shall sit inside combined with up to 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. The phone should run Android 7.1.1 Nougat, if not Android O.

The LG V30 would come with a dual camera setup at the back and a single lens selfie unit. Connectivity-wise, the upcoming smartphone would not leave any stones unturned. Additionally, as announced by Google at the I/O 2017, the next LG flagship will support the latest Daydream VR out of the box.

Speaking of the release date, rumors indicate that it might be somewhere around September 2017. However, there is not enough data to back it up. The LG V30 should arrive in India in around a month of its international debut.
