LG V30+ with 6-inch QHD+ display, dual cameras launched in India at Rs. 44,990

LG V30+ has been launched in India today at an event held in New Delhi. After launching the LG V30 earlier this year, LG announced the V30+ which comes with more storage. While the phone was launched in Korea at 998,000 Korean Won, the phone comes at a price of just Rs. 44,990 in India, offering stiff competition to its rivals.

To recap, LG had launched the V30 back in August this year as its second flagship smartphone for 2017. However, instead of the regular V30, LG brought the V30+ to India with higher internal storage and Hi-Fi Quad DAC. The LG V30+ will be available exclusively on Amazon.in starting from December 18.

LG V30+ Specifications

The LG V30+ runs on Android 7.1.2 Nougat with LG UX 6.0+ skinned on top. The device features a 6 inch QHD+ OLED display with a resolution of 2880 x 1440 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18:9. The display comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection and offers a pixel density of ~537 PPI.

In terms of performance, the LG V30+ is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor with Adreno 540 skinned on top. The device comes with 4GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 2TB via microSD card. The device is IP68 certified water and dust resistant and is also MIL-STD 810G certified.


Coming to the camera department, the LG V30+ features a dual camera setup on the back consisting of a 16MP primary camera with OIS, EIS, PDAF, f/1.6-aperture, 71-degree wide-angle lens and a 13MP secondary camera with 120-degree wide-angle lens and f/1.9 aperture. The primary camera is assisted by a dual LED flash for better low light images. On the front, the device sports a 5MP secondary camera with f/2.2 aperture.

The LG V30+ is powered by a 3,300mAh battery and comes with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3 support. Connectivity options on the device include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac,  Bluetooth 5.0 LE, GPS, NFC and a USB Type-C port.

Pricing and Availability

The LG V30+ is priced at Rs. 44,990, taking on the competition head on. It comes in Aurora Black, Cloud Silver, Moroccan Blue, Lavender Violet color options.

The LG V30+ is an Amazon-exclusive device and will be available for purchase starting on December 18. For early birds, LG is offering one-time screen replacement and a wireless charger free along with the device. Additionally, all V30+ buyers can also redeem goodies worth Rs. 6400 in the Beat Fever music rhythm game.
