The next generation Meizu Note phablet, aka Meizu M2 Note is now official and has a price. Interestingly, It will be selling for $130 which is even lower than what Meizu charged for M1 note.
This time Meizu has used MT6753 octa core chipset, which has 8 64 bit cortex A53 cores clocked at 1.3 GHz. Clock frequency is significantly lower when compared to MT6752 in M1 Note, but the main highlight of this chip is 4G LTE support for western markets, something which is missing in other Midrange MediaTek chips.
There is 2GB DDR3 RAM, 16GB /32GB internal memory, 450MHz Mali-T720 MP2 GPU and up to 128 GB MicroSD card support. Meizu M2 Note has the same 5.5-inch 1080p IGZO display, but below the display, Meizu has added a physical home button, ditching its signature circular home key.
Nope, there is no fingerprint scanner below the home button, but the Meizu’s home button is smart. It can distinguish between a tap and click. Click takes you back to home screen and tap brings you back one step at a time.

Software is same Android 5.0 Lollipop based Flyme OS. For photography, there is a 13 mega-pixel sensor with dual LED flash and F2.2 lens on the rear, and an f/2.0 5 mega-pixel front selfie shooter. Within the 8.7 mm thick casing, Meizu has housed a 3100 mAh battery.
The 16 GB model will cost $130 and the 32 GB model will set you back by $160. So nothing much has changed with specs, but we do hope performance has improved. Meizu M2 Note will arrive in India, but it won’t officially retail to Europe or North America. Users can still get it shipped from third party retailers.
