After Micromax Canvas Xl another phone from Micromax was spotted on online retail store Flipkart. The phone offers 5 inch display for a price of Rs. 6,750, but all other specs have been trimmed down to compensate for the low cost.
The 5 inch display features WVGA 480 x 800 resolution similar to popular phones like Micromax Canvas 2 giving you pixel density of 186 ppi. The processor used is quite obsolete with single Cortex A5 based core clocked at 1 GHz. paired with this processor is 512 MB RAM and 512 MB internal storage, which is quite less. The storage is expandable to 32 GB using MicroSD card. The chipset supports 720p HD video playback.
The primary camera has a 2 MP sensor and at front a VGA camera is present. The Micromax A71 runs on Android 4.1 jelly bean operating system which is not bad considering the price range.
The Battery capacity is 2000 mAh which will provide you with 200 hours of standby time and 5 hours of talk time. The phone is slightly thick at 10 mm. Connectivity features include 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
The phone is not yet available for purchase but will be available soon on FlipKart. The phone will be suited for those looking for a 5 inch display with a modest price-tag. The phone has similar specifications as Micromax Viva A72 with more RAM and 3G connectivity. Similar to Micromax Canvas XL Micromax is offering a Large size display with other modest specs.
