Moto G5S and G5S Plus launch_cr

Lenovo owned Motorola has just launched the Moto G5S and the Moto G5S Plus in India. Introduced globally last month, the Moto G5S Plus has been launched in India as an Amazon exclusive.

The G5S Plus is an overhauled version of the Moto G5 Plus with a dual camera setup and a bigger 5.5 inch display as its key upgrades. On the other hand, the Moto G5S comes with an improved camera and metal unibody design.

With two new alternatives in the mid-range smartphone market, Motorola is targeting two different segments. The Moto G5S comes with a 16MP single camera and metal unibody design. The Moto G5S Plus, on the other hand, offers dual cameras and a 5.5-inch display.

Starting with the bigger Moto G5S Plus, you get a 5.5-inch IPS LCD display with Full HD resolution with Gorilla Glass 3 on top. It features dual 13MP cameras with f/2.0 aperture and dual LED (dual tone) flash. An 8MP front camera is also there with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash.

The Moto G5S Plus is powered by the power efficient Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor. It is coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The Moto G5S Plus runs on stock Android 7.1 Nougat out-of-the-box, along with Moto Gestures.

The Moto G5S Plus is powered by a non-removable 3,000 mAh battery and has a dual SIM, 4G VoLTE, NFC, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth as connectivity options.

The smaller Moto G5S features a sturdy full metal unibody design. It has a 5.2-inch IPS-LCD display with Full HD resolution and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The Moto G5S comes with a 16MP rear camera with Fast Focus and PDAF. The front camera is an 8MP unit with an LED flash.

In terms of hardware, you get a Snapdragon 430 Processor on the Moto G5S. It is coupled with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, with support for microSD cards up to 128GB. The Moto G5S runs on stock Android 7.1 Nougat with Moto Gestures.

Powered by a 3,000 mAh fast charging enabled battery, the Moto G5S comes with dual SIM, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth as the standard connectivity options.

Pricing and Availability

The Moto G5S Plus will be available as Amazon exclusive starting today midnight. Motorola has priced it at Rs. 15,999 and it comes with the following launch day offers:
