Motorola may launch the Moto G6 series in Brazil on April 19

Motorola has sent out invites for an event on April 19th in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The company might introduce its latest Moto G6 series smartphones at the event. The Moto G6, Moto G6 Play, and Moto G6 Plus are the phones that are expected to come with some latest features such as 18:9 displays, and dual rear cameras.

After several leaks, Motorola seems finally set to launch its much-expected Moto G6 series smartphones. The Moto G6 was the first smartphone from the series that had already certified in China. Moreover, all the three smartphones have also been listed on a Hungarian site along with the pictures and full specs. Now, it seems like Lenovo-owned company will launch the phone in the global market.

Moto G6 Specifications

Starting with the Moto G6 first, the phone is expected to sport a 5.7-inch FHD+ (2160 x 1080 pixels) 18:9 IPS display. It will be powered by an Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 Mobile Platform with Adreno 506 GPU. It will come with 3GB or 4GB RAM with 32GB or 64GB internal storage, expandable up to 128GB with microSD.

The phone will be running on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box. In terms of camera, it might feature a dual camera at rear with a 12MP primary camera with LED Flash, and a 5MP secondary rear camera. There will be a 16MP front-facing camera with LED flash.


Connectivity option on the phone will include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS. It will be powered by a 3,000mAh battery with Turbocharging support. The device will sport a front mounted Fingerprint sensor.

Moto G6 Plus Specifications

It will be the premium variant in the series and will come with a 5.93-inch (2160 x 1080 pixels) Full HD+ 18:9 IPS display. The Moto G6 Plus will be powered by a 2.2 GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 630 processor with Adreno 508 GPU and will pack 4GB/6GB RAM with 32GB/64GB internal storage.

Camera wise, it will also sport a similar dual camera setup with a 12MP primary camera with LED Flash, and 5MP secondary camera. Up front, there will be a 16MP camera with LED flash.

It will also run Android 8.0 Oreo. Connectivity options on the device include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz), Bluetooth 5 LE, GPS, GLONASS, NFC. It packs a 3200mAh battery with Turbocharging and comes with the front-mounted Fingerprint sensor.

Moto G6 Play Specifications

Lastly, the Moto G6 Play will sport a 5.7-inch HD+ (1440 × 720 pixels) 18:9 IPS display. It will run on Android 8.0 Oreo and it will be powered by a Quad-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 427 chipset with Adreno 308 GPU or an octa-core Snapdragon 430 with Adreno 505 GPU.

Camera wise, the phone will pack a 12MP or 13MP rear camera with LED Flash and a 5MP front-facing camera with LED flash. The phone will pack 2GB RAM with 16GB internal storage, or 3GB RAM with 32GB internal storage and the storage will be expandable with a microSD card.

Connectivity options will include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS. It will pack a massive 4,000mAh battery with fast charging support and a front mounted Fingerprint sensor.

Moto G6 Series Pricing

The Moto G6 was listed at $249.99 (Rs. 16,250 approx.) and Moto G6 Play was priced at $199.99 (Rs. 13,000 approx.) by a U.S. retailer. However, the phones should be cheaper in the other markets like India.
