Nokia X+ with Dual SIM Support Out for Sale in India for 8,399 INR

Back in March, Nokia announced the Nokia X smartphone in India and assured that it will be followed by the other handsets in the lineup – Nokia XL and X+ in the next 60 days. As promised, the Nokia XL was released last week for Rs 11,489 and on Monday the Nokia X+ has also entered the country bearing a price tag of Rs 8,399.

Likewise the Nokia X, the X+ runs on Android Open Source Project (AOSP) and resembles the former. Talking about the other specs, the latest entrant boasts of a 4 inch WVGA capacitive touch screen display packing a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels and it is a dual SIM smartphone.

Under the hood is a 1 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Play processor coupled with 768 MB of RAM instead of the low 512 MB of RAM in the Nokia X. The imaging requirements of the users are taken care of by a 3 MP primary camera with fixed focus. However, the handset is devoid a front-facing snapper responsible for making video calls.

For connectivity, the Nokia X+ includes 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0 and GPS with aGPS and there is a 1,500 mAh battery that can pump a decent life to the dual-core phone. Nokia has  also partnered with leading telecom service provider Airtel to provide 500 MB of free 2G or 3G data for 3 months. For those still trying to figure out how this is different from Nokia X, its Nokia X with some much appreciated bump in RAM capacity.
