Oppo F5 with 6-inch full screen display, 20MP front camera launched

The Oppo F5 was launched today in Philippines, as promised by the company earlier. Continuing to expand its selfie-centric smartphones, Chinese smartphone maker Oppo has launched the F5 with a stunning looking 6-inch full screen display and a 20MP front facing camera. Not only that, the Oppo F5 also comes with an interesting new AI beauty recognition technology for an enhanced selfie experience.

The Oppo F5 is all set to be launched in India on November 2, according to the invite sent out by the company earlier this month.

The Oppo F5 runs on Android 7.1 Nougat with ColorOS 3.2 skinned on top. The device features a 6 inch full HD+ IPS LCD display with a 2.5D Curved Corning Gorilla Glass 5. It comes with a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18:9.

In terms of performance, the Oppo F5 is powered by a 2.5GHz octa core MediaTek Helio P23 processor clubbed with Mali G71 MP2 GPU. It comes in two memory variants- the first variant comes with 4GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage and the second variant comes with 6GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The storage on the device can be further expanded up to 256GB via microSD card.


Coming to the camera department, the device features a 16MP primary camera with f/1.8 aperture, phase detection autofocus and an LED flash. On the front, the device sports a 20MP secondary camera with f/2.0 aperture. The device comes with a fingerprint sensor on the back.

It is powered by a 3,200mAh battery. Connectivity options on the device include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack and FM Radio. The device measures 156.5 x 76 x 7.5 mm and weighs 152 grams.

The Oppo F5 has been priced starting at 15,990 Philippine Peso (Rs. 20,050) for the 4GB RAM variant. The device will go on sale on November 4 in Philippines and will be available for pre-orders starting from today. It comes in Gold, Black and Red color options.
