Oppo F5

Chinese smartphone maker Oppo today launched its latest device in India, the Oppo F5 at an event in Mumbai. The device was launched in Philippines last month. The main highlight of the device is its AI beauty recognition technology that allows users to take enhanced selfies.

The device is powered by an Octa core Mediatek Helio processor and comes with 4GB / 6GB RAM variants. On the front, the device from Oppo comes with a 16MP primary camera with an LED flash. The Oppo F5 Youth will be launched in December.

The Oppo F5 runs on Android 7.1 Nougat with ColorOS 3.2 skinned on top. The device features a 6 inch full HD+ IPS LCD display with a 2.5D Curved Corning Gorilla Glass 5. It comes with a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18:9.

In terms of performance, the Oppo F5 is powered by a 2.5GHz octa core MediaTek Helio P23 processor clubbed with Mali G71 MP2 GPU. It comes in two memory variants- the first variant comes with 4GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage and the second variant comes with 6GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The storage on the device can be further expanded up to 256GB via microSD card.

Coming to the camera department, the device features a 16MP primary camera with f/1.8 aperture, phase detection autofocus and an LED flash. On the front, the device sports a 20MP secondary camera with f/2.0 aperture. The device comes with a fingerprint sensor on the back.

It is powered by a 3,200mAh battery. Connectivity options on the device include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack and FM Radio. The device measures 156.5 x 76 x 7.5 mm and weighs 152 grams.

Pricing and Availability

The Oppo F5 has been priced at Rs. 19,990 for the 4GB RAM variant. It will be available in Black and Gold color options starting from November 9. The 6GB RAM variant has been priced at Rs. 24,990 and will be available Black and Red color options starting from December 2.
