The Panasonic P81 has been teased heavily for quite sometime raising many speculations about its features and price. Adhering to these rumors, Panasonic has announced the smartphone with an octa-core processor and it has been priced appropriately at Rs 18,990.
In terms of technical specifications, the dual SIM Panasonic P81 features a 5.5 inch HD IPS display panel that packs a screen resolution of 1280×720 pixels and is based on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS. Powering the phone is an octa-core MediaTek MT6592 processor ticking at 1.7 GHz teamed up with Mali450-MP4 graphics unit and 1 GB of RAM to handle the multi-tasking department.
The imaging requirements are taken care of by a 13 MP primary snapper paired with LED flash and FHD 1080p video recording alongside a 2 MP front-facing shooter that helps in making video calls and in clicking gorgeous selfies. Taking charge of the storage department is 8 GB of default storage space that can be expanded up to 32 GB with the help of a micro SD card. Other goodies in the Panasonic P81 include 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, GPS and a juicy 2,500 mAh battery.
On the software front, the Panasonic P81 comes with a range of software features including Gesture Play, Pop-i Player and Dual Play – Dual Window. Adding to the aesthetics of this handset is a leather-like back cover that provides added grip when the phone is held in hand.
The Panasonic P81 is priced at Rs 18,990 and it comes with bundled freebies worth Rs 9,900. The freebies are 6 month Evernote premium costing Rs 1,800, free Hungama app subscription for one month, offers from Hot-n-Trendy Space and India Today content. Further, Panasonic has also bundled the package with a free flip cover and screen guard priced at Rs 2,000.
