Earlier, there were reports that the Galaxy Note 9 launch might be delayed by two weeks because of slight design change suggested by the company’s vice-president. In contradiction, the new report from sources familiar with the matter claims that the unpacked event which might take place in New York said to be coming about two weeks earlier this year than last year’s Galaxy Note 8 launch.

It’s already known that the upcoming Note series flagship from Samsung will include an upgraded processor from Qualcomm which is the Snapdragon 845 for some markets and Exynos 9810 in others including India. Previous rumors suggest that the Galaxy Note 9 could feature a bigger 6.4-inch display and up to 4,000mAh battery. Samsung’s last flagship this year, Galaxy S9 has seen a good reception. According to IDC report, Samsung has had a 23% market share in Q1 2018 compared to 16% of Apple. So, they might push Galaxy Note 9 launch a little later, however, this August 9 launch date could also be possible.
