Swipe telecom has launched its first tablet for Kids, perhaps also India’s first Kid-friendly tab, with a colorful body design that makes it look more like a toy or a slate. Earlier Samsung launched a tab 3 Variants for Kids based on similar concept but that hasn’t made its way to the Indian market as of yet.

The tablet comes with standard budget tab features that can be expected at this price range and is intended for kids. This tablet comes with a parental lock which lets parents decide what their kids are exposed to on the borderless internet. Parents can also use App manager to restrict App usage and can fix daily viewing time for their kids.

This tab features a 7 inch 5 point multi touch capacitive Display with 1024 x600 pixel resolution which stands apart at this price range where most manufacturers offer WVGA resolution. On the software front this tablet runs Android 4.2 Jelly bean operating system.

This tablet is powered by 1 GHz processor which is coupled with 512 MB of RAM and 4GB of Internal storage which can be further extended to 32 GB using a MicroSD card. This will provide sufficient performance for first time android users.

The primary camera is of 2 MP and a VGA camera is also present at front for self portraits and video calling. The battery capacity is 3000 mAh which shall provide you with good 4 to 5 hrs of screen time. Connectivity features include WiFi, 3.5 mm Audio Jack and 3G via external dongle.

This tablet comes with shock proof coating as kids are more prone to dropping their toys. Its made of food grade plastic and that means it can be used by toddlers who might try to chew it. It will also come preloaded with Kid oriented apps, games and e-books. This tablet has been launched in India at Rs 5,990 INR
