Uber Pickup Change

Uber has rolled out a new update which allows you to update your pickup location even after you have requested for a ride. Now riders can easily change their pickup location in case if they have requested from the wrong place, even when the driver is en-route.

This update is available for both iOS and Android platform and will be made available to all riders across the India in the coming weeks. This new update will eventually lead to less cancellations and will make the things more convenient for both riders and drivers.

Earlier, in case if u booked a cab and selected an incorrect pickup location accidentally, there was no way to change the pickup location afterwards. It led to cancellation of ride and booking it again, or to coordinate with your driver to your right location.

Before rolling out this feature officially, the cab aggregator piloted this new feature in selected cities and noticed less cancellations in booking. Steps for changing the pickup location are very easy and simple.

Here’s how it works:

  • Once your driver is en route, tap “edit” next to your pickup location
  • Enter your new pickup address, and tap “confirm”
