Xiaomi Mi 5c Live Images, Specs Leaked – Snapdragon 625, 3GB RAM

Xiaomi Mi 5c has been in the news for some time now. This trimmed down version of the Mi 5 is rumored to launch soon. However, the Chinese smartphone maker has been tight-lipped about this upcoming handset. A few live images of the alleged Mi 5c has just leaked on the internet. The tipster also disclosed that the phone should rock a larger display and Cortex A73 cores.

Xiaomi Mi 5c: Specs and Pricing

The Mi 5c is expected to sport a 5.5-inch Full HD (1080 x 1920) display. This is a bit larger than the 5.15-inch screen of the original Mi 5. Guessing by the leaked photos, we presume that the Mi 5c may come with metal finish sans the additional glass layering. The back of the phone is pretty much clean with the rear camera at the top corner and a Mi branding near the bottom.

Moving on to the internals, the Xiaomi Mi 5c shall come with an octa-core processor. Speculations suggest that the chipset may be co-developed by Xiaomi. Out of the eight processing cores, four may be the powerful Cortex A73, and the rest shall be the power-saving Cortex A53 ones. Guesstimating by the arrangement, this might even turn out to be the brand new Snapdragon 653 SoC. However, other leaks suggest that the Mi 5c will come with an octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor.

The upcoming smartphone is expected to sport 3 GB of RAM along with 64 GB of internal storage. The camera department shall consist of a 13 MP rear shooter and an 8 MP selfie unit. The phone will come with the usual set of connectivity options. Just like the Mi 5, here too the fingerprint scanner may be embedded into the home button.

Unfortunately, there is no information about the battery capacity, pricing, and availability. Nevertheless, the Mi 5c will certainly cost less than the Mi 5 and may turn out to be a China exclusive smartphone just like the Mi 4c.
