Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 Launched In India, Starting At Rs. 9,999

Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 has finally been launched in India. The latest smartphone from Xiaomi comes with a 5.5 inch full HD display and runs on a more power efficient Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor. With the Redmi Note 3, Xiaomi had focused on giving a powerful phone at a very good price. With the Redmi Note 4, however, Xiaomi has turned its focus on improving battery life by at least 20%.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 comes with a 5.5 inch full HD display, with a pixel density of ~401 PPI and a screen-to-body ratio of 72.7%. The phone comes with Android 6.0 Marshmallow with MIUI 8 on top.

Coming to the processor, the Redmi Note 4 features an 1.8 GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor with Adreno 506 GPU. It comes in three memory variants – 2 GB RAM, 32 GB storage; 3 GB RAM, 64 GB storage and 4 GB RAM, 64 GB storage. The internal storage can be expanded up to 128 GB using a microSD card.

In terms of imaging, the Redmi Note 4 features a 13 MP rear camera with an f/2.0 aperture and Phase Detection Autofocus and dual LED flash. The front houses a 5 MP camera. The rear camera can record up to 1080p videos at 30 frames per second.

Other specs remain the same. You get dual SIM, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2, Infrared, GPS and FM Radio. The phone is powered by a 4100 mAh battery.

Pricing And Availability

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 is priced starting at Rs. 9,999. The 2 GB / 32 GB version is priced at Rs. 9,999, the 3 GB / 32 GB version is priced at Rs. 10,999 and the the 4 GB / 64 GB version is priced at Rs. 12,999. The phone will be available for purchase exclusively on Flipkart starting on January 23.

The Redmi Note 4 comes in four colour options – Grey, Gold, Silver and a new matte Black version. While Grey, Gold and Silver colour options will be available on launch, the matte Black version will be made available at a slightly later date.
