Xiaomi launched Redmi Note Prime At INR 8,499

Xiaomi has rolled out its new Redmi Note Prime smartphone in India at INR 8,499. The Xiaomi Redmi Note Prime will be available exclusively available on Amazon India and Xiaomi’s official website Mi.com, sales are starting 10am IST on 15th December

The new Redmi Note Prime comes with Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box with MIUI 7 on top. It allows dual SIM support. The display size is 5.5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) resolution. The handset sports a 13 MP autofocus rear camera with LED flash, and 5-MP front-facing camera.

It is backed by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor paired with 2 GB of LPDDR3 RAM. It includes 16GB of inbuilt storage, which is expandable up to 32 GB via microSD card. The handset is backed by a 3100mAh battery. It measures 154×78.7×9.4mm and weighs 185 gramsConnectivity options include GPRS/ EDGE, 3G, 4G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n with hotspot functionality, GPS, Bluetooth v4.0, micro-USB 2.0, and USB-OTG.

Xiaomi confirms in a press note that after the Redmi 2 Prime (launcnhed in August 2015), Redmi Note Prime is the second ‘Made in India’ smartphonefrom the company. The Redmi Note Prime will be manufactured in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh, in collaboration with the very known equipment making company Foxconn Technologies.


“With the launch of Redmi Note Prime, we are glad to provide our Mi Fans an opportunity to upgrade to an even more powerful smartphone with an expanded memory and dual-SIM capabilities,” said Manu Jain, Xiaomi’s India Head.
